Neurofeedback is not magic!
It is a very sophisticated process of helping the brain to function optimally through training. Think of when you learned to ride a bike, to shoot a basketball, to drive a car, or do almost any other thing as a young person or adult. You didn’t know how to at first, but with training and practice your brain developed a system of mental and motor skills coordination, based on neurofeedback, to allow you to succeed and maybe even perfect your skill.
Neurotherapy is basically the same. It provides the training environment for your brain to learn new ways of functioning using auditory and visual feedback that allow neuro-processes that are overcome with anxiety, for example, to be reactivated so that you are in better control of your thoughts and feelings.
Children and adults benefit from this type of therapy because our brains are designed to take in new information and develop new skills no matter our age.
You simply CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
