Insurance is complicated and sometimes confusing because a large company, such as United Healthcare, may have several smaller companies with separate names and insurance contracts, such as Health Plan of Nevada. Also, providers may have contracts with insurance companies for specific reasons, but not accept the insurance for general therapy services. So, here is what you need to know about me.
I have a private practice and accept United Healthcare (including Medicare Advantage) as well as Culinary Health Fund and MGM Resorts (through Harmony Healthcare). I do not accept any other insurance, even if you were given my name on a list or referred by another provider or doctor.
If I do not accept your insurance, I may be able to provide services to you through your insurance as an "out of network provider." You will need to contact your insurance to make sure they will cover the cost of an "out of network provider." If they will, then you will pay me directly at my cash rate and I will provide you with an invoice to turn into your insurance for reimbursement.
I also belong to a healthcare group called Happier Living. This group accepts Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross (not the medicaid version). So, if you have one of these insurances you can go to happierliving.com to schedule an appointment with me. Please know that Happier Living is only offering telehealth appointments at this time.
That's it. Let me know if you have any questions.
